⅓cupdiced dill pickle, 2 medium-sized or 1 large pickle
2-3tablespoonsdiced onion, chopped very fine
2teaspoonslemon juice
1tablespoondried parsley flakes, plus a little extra for optional garnish

Instructions
Dice Pickle and Onion
Place one cup of mayonnaise in a small bowl. Dice and chop the pickle into very tiny pieces, add the pickles to the bowl with the mayonnaise.

Chop and dice enough onion into very small pieces. Use 2-3 tablespoons, depending your preference. I usually use 3 tablespoons. Add to the bowl with the mayonnaise and pickles.

Squeeze the juice from fresh lemon wedges to create 2 teaspoons of juice with the ingredients in the bowl.

Combine All Ingredients
Add 1 tablespoon of dried parsley flakes and the salt. Stir to combine.

Serve right away or cover and refrigerate for an hour to blend the flavors.
Store covered in the refrigerator in an airtight container. The tartar sauce will stay fresh for a week.
Notes
Homemade Tartar Sauce is delicious served right away, but for an even deeper flavor, make it a day ahead to let the flavors blend and mingle in the fridge.
