1 ½cupssemisweet chocolate chipsGuittard brand is what I recommend
¼teaspoonpink himalayan salt
Instructions
Preheat oven to 300° F.
Grease or spray Pam into an 8”x8” baking dish or an 8" cast iron skillet.
In a large bowl, or the bowl of your mixer, blend the brown sugar and butter until creamy.
Add eggs and vanilla extract and mix at medium speed until the batter is light and smooth.
Scape down the sides of the bowl and add the flour and baking soda. Mix for a few seconds to combine, then add the walnuts and chocolate chips and mix gently to incorporate the ingredients together, but don’t overdo it.
Scoop the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top. Lightly sprinkle the salt across the top, a very light dusting of salt is all that's needed.
Bake for 35-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, but the center is still very soft.
Place pan or dish on a cooling rack and let cool for a few minutes before serving. Cut into 2” squares and enjoy. These are delicous served warm!
