It starts with a pound and a half of ground chuck.

Next, cook the onions then add the spices and seasoning. 

The spices steam for a few minutes with the ground chuck and onions, it's a big flavor booster.

1 ½ lb ground chuck  1 white onion diced 1 heaping tablespoon chili powder 2 teaspoons cumin 2 teaspoons oregano dash of cayenne pepper  2 teaspoons salt 1 teaspoon pepper

2, 14 oz cans diced tomatoes 1, 6 oz can tomato paste ⅓ cup water 1, 10 oz can original Rotel  1, 14 oz can chili beans 1, 14 oz can kidney beans 1, 14 oz can Great Northern beans  1, 14 oz can pinto beans

You may have noticed there are beans in this chili. 

Which prompts the age old debate: If a chili recipe includes beans, is it truly chili?

Idaho Chili doesn't really need toppings, but if you choose to add some, wow - they're a DELICIOUS add on!
